Linking Partners for a Sustainable and Inclusive Dar es Salaam

LIPSINDAR ("Lips - in - Dar") is a networking project on top of AfriCity. It connects three project consortia: AfriCity (University of Erlangen-Nuernberg FAU), ECOSOLA (University of Oldenburg), and GOPLAREA (University of Dortmund).
The three consortia are working on risk, resilience, sustainable livelihoods and food security, governance, planning, infrastructure and adaptability in cities in eastern and southern Africa. They do so from different disciplinary and thematic perspectives. Under the umbrella of the BMBF funding initiative "Partnerships for Sustainable Solutions with Africa", the three consortia focus on two overarching topics:

A joint pilot study in Dar es Salaam connects these topics to the leading theme of "Sustainable cities of the future".

Activities will start end of 2017/early 2018.
